Hungry Wolves
Barry Yeoman
Jump through snow
drifts to tackle
a wounded deer
under a minefield
of stars, the eye
of a pummeled moon.
They gnarl and tug
at God’s provision,
a huddle of steam.
Barry Yeoman is a poet from Springfield, Ohio, currently living and writing in London, Ohio. He holds a B.A. in Creative Writing and Literature from Antioch University Midwest. His work has appeared, or is forthcoming in Broad River Review, Common Ground Review, Right Hand Pointing, UCity Review, and Gravel, among other print and online journals and has been included in the anthology “I Thought I Heard a Cardinal Sing,” Ohio’s Appalachian Voices. He is working on a first full-length manuscript.
