way to connect a body or climb a tree

and hold onto the moment that

called to us – repeating – all is

within reach – all must be finite.

Carol Dorf has received fellowships from the Hawthornden Foundation, Zoeglossia, and the Napa Writers’ Conference. Their writing appears on the Poetry Foundation website, and in tiny wren, Pleiades, About Place, Cutthroat, Five South, YesYesPoetry, and Scientific American. Founding poetry editor of Talking Writing, they taught math at Berkeley High School.
