Emma Gawlinski
Man-o-gram
Sundown, the hour of Victorian darkness.
Early winter. The centre is on a street
named after a serial murderer.
Take your top off. The mammographer
is pale and gaunt. You scan his arms
for needle marks. Take your top off.
You didn’t expect a man. Come close
to the machine.
Emma lives in Barcelona. She has published poems in Mslexia magazine, Yellow Arrow Journal, American Journal of Nursing, Ink, sweat and tears and Under the Radar and Under Your Pillow poetry anthology.
