Olga Dermott-Bond

A woman on the radio

tells me that birds

don’t sing for my pleasure:

‘Song is Tinder for birds.’

I listen to these winged singletons

as they twitter tirelessly

with birdcall bigger

than their bodies, swiping

right from dawn to every dusk –

Olga has had poetry widely placed and published, and has written two poetry pamphlets: apple, fallen (Against the Grain Press 2020) and A sky full of strange specimens (Nine Pens Press 2021).Her first full collection Frieze will be published by Nine Arches Press in October 2023.
