Maya Klauber
As the loon calls disperse east
and west, we’ll begin taking
the umbrellas and buoys inside—
just as we’ve learned to do
with our sadness, as the reddest
leaves begin their fall.
Maya Klauber an artist and emerging poet living in New York City who earned a B.A. in creative writing from Colby College and had poems published by Maine literary journals The Café Review and Off the Coast. Maya later earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Columbia University, while coping with chronic health struggles—experiences that have informed and deepened her work. She has a poem forthcoming in Last Leaves Magazine this fall.
