Jenna Wysong Filbrun

Self-Portrait as Two Places

          —after Barn and Cabin

          by Norma Wysong

          (oil on canvas)

My name begins with home.

Greens overflow

afternoon light.

I hope to die here,

arboreal. One horse

looks off in the distance

2.

I spill like the peak

to the stream in lavender

after-storm light. Dark-

wood, red-door knowing

dances like atoms

all through me
